Instructor Performance Report

The Instructor Performance Report provides insights into the sales performance of instructors associated with courses on your platform.
It tracks the revenue generated by each instructor's assigned products.


Metrics Tracked

Each row in the report represents an instructor and includes the following data:

  • Products – The number of courses assigned to the instructor.
  • Gross Sales – The total revenue generated by the instructor’s assigned courses before deductions.
  • Net Sales – Revenue after deductions such as refunds.
  • Tax – Taxes configured in Stripe (CourseLayer does not manage tax settings).
  • Total Sales – The final revenue amount after tax calculations.

Key Features

  • Instructor Attribution – Instructors are assigned to courses at the time of course creation.
  • Multiple Instructors per Course – If multiple instructors are assigned to a product, sales are split equally among them.
  • Date Filtering & Comparison – Users can filter data using the same preset date ranges as other reports:
    • 📅 Today
    • 📅 This Week
    • 📅 This Month
    • 📅 Last 30 Days
    • 📅 Last 90 Days
    • 📅 Last 180 Days
    • 📅 Last 365 Days
    • 📅 Custom Date Range
  • No Sorting or Filtering – Sorting and filtering by instructor is not currently available but will be added in future updates.

Future Enhancements

While this report currently focuses on sales performance, future updates will introduce engagement metrics to track how students interact with each instructor's courses.
